	National champions! Philip Joubert on trombone The drumline in action: Daniel Breukelman, Marcel Alberts, Richard José and Henkie Wessels THE Empangeni High School Marching Band took first place in three categories at the weekend's South African Marching and Concert Band Competition, giving them the overall title of the best band in South Africa. The categories they won included Best Marching Band, Best Drumline and Neatest Band. The drum major as well as senior ensemble took third places respectively.
