Do-or-die match for Rhinos

Mike Harrison

THANDA Zululand Rhinos will travel to ABSA stadium this Saturday for their all important clash with Maritzburg Varsity at 4.45pm.
This match, which is a bottom of the table clash, will be the main curtain-raiser to the Sharks-Chiefs Super 14 clash which kicks off at 7.10pm.
This is a must win situation for the Rhinos who will be looking to improving their position on the log.
The students haven't done too well and have yet to pick up a win this season.
They went down 66-0 to Durban Collegians at Woodburn Stadium in last week's round of matches, which did little to help their disastrous situation.
The Rhinos have brought in Shaun Lombard at centre to replace Hector Gumede, who drops down to the second team.
Danie Dumas is not available and will be replaced by Prince Mofekeng who comes back into the backline on the wing.
Noland van Staden will start at scrumhalf with Dirkie de Waal warming the bench on this occasion.
For the rest the team is exactly the same that did duty against Harlequins last weekend.
The respective second teams will play at Mick Kelly Park on Friday night.
They will kick off at 8pm with the Empangeni under 20s taking on Midlands in a Frank Norris Trophy match at 6.30pm in the main curtain-raiser. Both these teams have six points on the log, but the Empangeni team should be capable of improving their position with their second victory of the season on this occasion. The Rhinos second team are keen to extend their run of victories to five which will enable them to advance ever further up the log.
Kick off time is at 4.45pm.
