The Durban Chamber of Commerce and Industry together with its partner and principal sponsor, Transnet Port Terminals are proud to announce the call for entries for the KZN Exporter of the Year Awards 2010. Each year the entrants have presented some interesting profiles of KZN businesses, showcasing their own achievements within the industry and in particular to global markets.
Based on the overwhelming success when it debuted last year, the Trade and Investment KZN (TIKZN) supported category - “Excellence in exporting into Africa”, features again this year, and will be judged separately to the mandatory categories of Small, Medium and Large.
The categories are based on annual turnover (except for the “Excellence in exporting to Africa” category) as follows:
· Small - less than R25 Million per annum
· Medium - between R25 Million and R100 Million per annum
· Large - greater than R101 Million per annum
The various sections on the entry form are focused on ascertaining the growth and innovative processes that the company has put in place to increase exports, based on turnover achieved over the last three financial years.
We will also be giving an honourable mention (at the gala dinner) to any company or individual who has nominated or recommended any applicant who has made it as a finalist.
Transnet Port Terminals has partnered with the Durban Chamber to demonstrate their support for exporters in this competitive industry. We encourage all exporters in the province to enter the competition as the awards are aimed at recognising and acknowledging all your great achievements as a Kwazulu-Natal exporter.
